SOC CLUB GRAND OPENING

After months of preparation and much hard work by the Mayor and Town clerk and others of Oil City, the "SOC CLUB" had its GRAND OPENING on Friday, February 13th with a "Lucky Friday the 13th Hat Party". The Seniors and their friends in Oil City gathered to see the newly redecorated SOC Community Center now located in the old Comunity Center building. Entertainment was provided by Mr. Denny Mattocks, and guests enjoyed a buffet of donated home made dishes and desserts. After an invocation by Brother Chad Mills of the First Baptist Church, an afternoon of friendship was topped off by the drawing for raffle prizes, and the judging of the best hat. What follows is a collection of photos depicting the celebration. We urge anyone who wishes to participate in the Caddo Parish Council on Aging nutrition program to come to one of the SOC CLUB meetings and sign up. The club will meet every Monday and Friday from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM, with the meal provided by CCOA. Games, exercizes, and other activities will be available for everyone.
